Sidmouth Town first team manager Paul Ashford is looking forward to the new Premier matches. The side won their first home game of the new season, 2-0 against Topsham. Goals were scored by Charlie Nicholle and new signing Matt Wonnacott. The match was sponsored by Drainmaster.The Reserves start their new campaign this Saturday against Honiton under new manager Alan Rowe. Alan has been a club stalwart for many years, having first turned out for the 1st XI in the 1980/81 season, when he was 19. He said: "I have been helping and playing a bit for the last two seasons, which I have thoroughly enjoyed. We have got a great bunch of lads with some very good young players coming through. Not only are they good players, they are all really good lads."The sponsor of the 2nd XI match is Formatika Large Format Printing.
