Last Sunday AVR athlete Luke Reed left his house at 4.30am to be on the start line of the Swanage Bay Sprint Triathlon by 7am, writes Dave Mutter.
The race consisted of a 750m open water sea swim in calm conditions that Luke completed in 14:01.
On to the 20k undulating bike course which Luke finished in 45:52 leaving him sixth overall with just the run to go. Luke had the best run of the day; 22:15 for just short of four miles. This excellent run moved him up to fifth overall in a total time of 1.22.18, a really excellent result.
