AVR runner Julie Rowe donned a hula-hula outfit to run the Bideford 10k race on Sunday, writes Dave Mutter.
This is a flattish road race along the road to Instow, returning along the river by the Tarka Trail.
Julie did well against a strong wind to finish 253rd in 51:33. Graham and Diane Newton, enjoying a short break in nearby Clovelly also decide to have a go. Graham came in 60th out of 600 runners to beat his own personal best by 33 seconds, winning the over 65 male title in 42:42, while Diane was astounded to take the second lady over 60 prize in 1:05.31.
Just a little bit further away Emma Kiernan ran the Bristol 10k in a brilliant 43:29.
