Sidmouth Under-10s fielded three teams for matches at Honiton.
The team captained by Alec Bagwell drew their match two tries each. There were some strong attacking runs from Charlie Turley, Harry McMahon and Toby Sanford. Honiton’s defence held strong and Sidmouth were slow to take advantage of the rucks. However, the whole team put in a good shift and certainly all showed plenty of passion and desire to win.
Toby Mortimer led a strong line up that included Zach and Luca Arver, Recce Hext, William Allen, Alexander Goody, Scotty Munro-Higgs, Toby Morris and Tom Grove. This turned out to be a low scoring affair with tackling, breakdown and turnover, being the order of play. Both sides fought hard, but it was Sidmouth’s ball ripping and mauling that was to see them triumph by a single try.
Captained by Charlie Simic the 3Bs were edged out in their game, but there was some strong running from Archie Rowcliffe and robust rucking from Charlie Simic, Harry Wood and Herbie Isherwood.
