Following controversy in their first cup meeting (which Warriors won), the Exeter League decided the teams needed a rematch. The game began with great passing and it wasn't long before the first goal was scored by Tom Counsell. As usual Sam Cavin played a strong game with great support from behind, led by Niall Waterhouse, Nathan Penhallurick and Alec Larsson-Carter, and brilliant saves by Toby Lee. Countess Wear were awarded a penalty but failed to score. Sidmouth continued to dominate and it wasn't long before they added another goal, this time Brett Lines finding the back of the net. Countess Wear had some near misses, but Warriors fought hard. From nowhere, Brett scored again, 3-0. Just before half time Countess Wear pulled a goal back. After some nail-biting second half play, Alex Seward scored, to increase the lead to 4-3. Max Goodesmith and Matt Saunders came on to defend the lead. Almost at full time, George Peacock put the final nail in the coffin, his goal securing a 5-3 final score.
