Beer Albion Reserves clawed their way up the bottom half of the Fresha League Division Five table with a great 5-0 win at struggling Halwill, writes Richard Honnor.
Scorers for Beer were Jake Clode, Jack White, Ross Broome, Nathan Newbery and an own goal.
Victories by both Beer sides on the same Saturday have been extremely rare this season (just two occasions), but it gave the club, players and spectators alike, a tremendous boost as they go into the final phase of the season.
Next up for the second team is a Saturday (March 19) meeting at Furzebrake against the same Halwill side.
The Fishermen will be hoping to complete the double over their struggling opponents. Kick off is at 3pm and the match sponsor is East Devon Physiotherapy and Sports Injury Clinic Ltd, Sidford.
