Sidmouth Raiders Under-10s enjoyed double success in their latest Exeter and District Youth League matches.
The Raiders were on duty at Bradninch where they encountered a damp rustic setting and a slopping pitch!
First up against the hosts they soaked up considerable early pressure before taking the lead when Josh O’Connor netted with sublime skill, deftly flicking the ball past the home glovesman.
Man of the match Reuben Bennett, who was strong and uncompromising in defence throughout, thumped a long-range shot that ended up at the feet of young O’Connor who made no mistake from short range to seal a 2-0 success.
Next up Raiders continued their slick passing football with a 3-0 triumph over Cullompton Rangers.
Freddie Dorman was a constant threat, teasing and tormenting the opposition defence. Three outstanding goals were scored. The first by Alex Bennett with a piece of individual brilliance before the free-scoring O’Connor added another to his growing tally. The other scorer was Man of the Match Freddie Dorman.
