After a lot of planning, the big day arrived to celebrate the club's centenary when president Tom Reynolds welcomed 24 players from Bowls England representing 15 different counties, including the Bowls England president Cliff Waterman from Suffolk.

After a lot of planning, the big day arrived to celebrate the club's centenary when president Tom Reynolds welcomed 24 players from Bowls England representing 15 different counties, including the Bowls England president Cliff Waterman from Suffolk. A lovely buffet lunch was enjoyed by the visitors and before the game photos for the press were taken of the players, who all looked very smart in full uniform, a credit to the game of bowls. Everyone was enjoying the game with lots of laughter and noise from all rinks and, halfway through the match scores were close and Sidmouth's hopes were high, as they thought they might have a chance of winning. It was not to be, the final score ended 76-48. After the game a full meal was served for the players enjoyed by all. Mr Waterman thanked Sidmouth for being the perfect hosts. The weather had been perfect and brought out lots of supporters which was appreciated.
