There was a good turnout last Sunday for the mixed open competition, and the condition of our course drew rave reviews from the visitors from other clubs, writes Penny Ashby.

The winners on home turf were the Billinghurst husband and wife partnership, just ahead of mother and son team, Angela and Stuart Coles!

On Tuesday the pairing of Penny Lyne and Marie Timms resulted in a successful day at Teignmouth, beating the Warren Golf club team in the DCVLGA knockout competition.

The Ladies are gearing up for their fund-raising car boot sale on June 22, all desirable items gratefully received!

Meanwhile, Captains’ Day will be held on Saturday June 15, with a large contingent of golfers all hoping for fine weather.
