Sidmouth HC Men’s 4th XI 2 Chard 4

Sidmouth travelled to Chard, hoping to get more from the match than the friendly earlier in the season, but it wasn’t to be.

Although the side, which is sponsored by Adrenalin Games, took the lead early on through a James Thompson goal, the younger Chard side gradually took control of the game.

The home side was bolstered by the presence of former Sidmouth player Larry Watkins.

Chard scored four goals but Sidmouth battled to prevent themselves going further behind.

Cliff Davies scored a consolation goal from the final action of the match to reduce the deficit.
