In the County Trophy, Sidmouth’s final match of the season against Honiton was delayed due to weather conditions and with all other results in, created a situation whereby each side had a chance of finishing second to Madeira in the league. Honiton needed to win all four rinks to edge out Sidmouth. However, with two good wins on their home green, Sidmouth secured a comfortable 12 points. Madeira won the league with a total of 88 points, Sidmouth finishing with 69.

In the final of the Top Club competition away at Seaton, Sid could only manage one winning rink in the Triples - Ken Bridgman, John Mason and skip Bob Seldon 18-14. Congratulations to all the players in these county competitions for a great effort, one of the club’s best for a number of years.
