Westlecot, a club from Swindon, were the first touring team to visit Ottery this year. It is believed to be their 18th visit and they have already booked for the 2013 season, writes Peter Bebb.

the result was a win for the Tourists 99-115: G Hawke, D Hunt, M Parker, Skip T House 19-23; A Howells, C Hawke, M Shiel, Skip M Hunt 16-22; P Nicholls, M Griffin, W Gray, Skip S Spencer 11-16 ; J George, T Bushell, J Taylor, Skip P Jones 14-23; M Spencer, C Griffin, D Dalton, Skip W Taylor 25-17; G Temple, P Gray, S Rowe, Skip F Hunt 16-14.

Chagford were the visitors to Ottery in a friendly game of triples played on four rinks resulting in a win for Ottery 60-51: M Spencer, F Hunt, Skip E Saunders 11-18; T Luff, S Spencer, Skip J Saunders 10-12; D Luff, M Phillips, Skip D Garrod 22-12; A Howells, J Paddon, Skip T House 17-9.

In a Two Counties match Ottery was at home to Seaton in a very close game but the result was a win for the visitors 64-66: T Luff, M Parker, D Rose, Skip T House 20-14; D Luff, J Taylor, G Kille, Skip H Channon 18-14; T Ward, D Dalton, J Ward, Skip E Saunders 9-27; A Howells, J Pethick, W Taylor, Skip N Lawrence 17-11.

The next home friendly match was against Dunkeswell resulting in a good win for Ottery 86-46: W Gray, D Hunt, Skip S Spencer 20-7; G Temple, K Pollitt, Skip M Hunt 28-14; D Luff, P Gray, Skip T House 15-18; M Spencer, C Gibbs, Skip T Luff 25-7.

In an Over 60s match Ottery B lost 34-33 to played Bradninch A: T Luff, D Dalton, Skip M Smith 24-17 G Temple, G Kille, Skip N Lawrence 9-17.
