Tipton St John cricketers are not having the best of luck with regard to fixtures this season.
Recently Devon League Premier side Bradninch were unable to field a Sunday XI to take on the villagers and this past Sunday they were undone by a broken down mower!
That was the case at the home of scheduled hosts Marldon CC who reported a broken down mower leaving their South Devon home ground unable to stage the match!
The natural alternative is always to switch grounds – but in this instance the Tipton cricket ground was being used for the annual fete.
The cricketers can be excused for hoping their fixture woe is at an end for the remainder of the season!
