We have played two friendly matches this week, winning one and losing one. The game against Budleigh we won 121-88: R Graham, M Borst and B Seldon (skip) 26-11; M Savage, D Mountford, J White (skip) 17-17; F Adlam, B Hague, B Daniels (skip) 24-8 ; R Tallent, R Knights, K Hutton (skip) 14-17; B Barber, S Hamer, B Boddy (skip) 22-19.

Due to a misunderstanding with the driver, we arrived with two players short and, to give everyone a game, we borrowed a player from Budleigh and played a pairs on one rink: D Ware, D Graham (Budleigh player) 18-16.

We lost by only two shots to Seaton 81-83: R Tallent, E Saunders, R Knights, T Wilkins (skip) 16-27; T Lee; D Ware, F Adlam, J White (skip) 20-19; D Bridgman, J Chew, B Hague, J Mason (skip) 18-24; R Denning, C Rourke, R Graham, B Turner (skip) 27-13.

All our games in the Over 60s Exeter & District League, due to be played on Wednesday, had to be cancelled ... yes, you guessed, due to the rain. These matches are to be re-arranged and played at a later date.
