Royal Wedding Fever hit the ladies section of Sidmouth Golf Club on Wednesday, with lots of players sporting red, white and blue outfits.

They had a red, white and blue raffle in aid of Macmillan Cancer Support the Lady Captain’s Charity and Royal Wedding cup cakes after the game were enjoyed by all.

A medal competition was played, not everybody’s favourite format, but as always there is one lady who has an absolutely stunning round of golf and a fantastic score.

This week it was Liz Chance who returned a score of a net 61, she had the lowest gross score and reduced her handicap from 25 to 22. Liz also won the putting competition with 30 putts. Well done Liz!! There was no one to match Liz’s performance which could see her being promoted from the Sheelah Creasy team to the prestigious President’s Trophy team. Whether the captain of the Creasy team will let her go is a different matter. It goes without saying how good a score Liz had, as I was the runner up with a net 69 and in third place, Ann Blackler also with 69. There were no 2’s and the CSS went up to 70.
