With generous support from Michelmores Solicitors, a total of 550 was raised for charity from the proceeds of the Sidmouth Festival Run.
This was split between FORCE who have been supporters of the race since its inception and the Devon Air Ambulance in recognition of their assistance given to Gerald Woodley who had a serious accident whilst competing in a cycling event on Dartmoor.
Gerald was a good runner who competed in the race regularly and whose wife, Rosemary helped out with the race administration. This year their 17-year-old grandson, Joe Woodley, took part in the race for the first time finishing in 27th position with a very creditable time of just under 50 minutes
