Sidmouth Bowling Club held its annual charity coffee morning and table top sale on bank holiday Monday, writes Chris Hamer.
This year the event was held in support of Sidmouth Hospicecare.
Despite the very disappointing weather the morning was very successful, raising over £1500, due to all the intrepid supporters who enjoyed the music, coffee and cakes, refilled their bookshelves for the winter and managed to get a bargain as well as raffle prizes and the odd bottle from the tombola.
Our thanks to everyone who worked so hard, including the scouts who braved the rain to hand out leaflets, Radway Cinema, Holland and Barrett and Hair Design who donated prizes.
