John Eaton secured victory in the latest Charles Stanley Monday stableford, writes Chris Roberts.
Eaton edged the day on countback from Les Pratt after both players carded the very good score of 41 points. In third, in third spot finding his form before club finals day, was the straight hitting Martin French (bananas are straight in Martins eyes) with another good score of 40 points.
The top three players all received a handicap cut of one shot and with Martin in the final of the Burgyone only weeks away he may be wise to abstain from playing qualifiers !
Martyn White still leads the Eclectic table over Neil Holland, Jonathon lee and now joining the two big names in joint second is club captain; all three trail by one stroke.
The birdie table is a bit more cut and dry with Neil Holland 23 ahead of club manager.
