Six Colyton Grammar School students were successful at the Devon Schools’ Cross-Country Championships, held at Stover School, Newton Abbot, writes Jonathan Cresswell.
Holly Dunning (Year 7), Caitlin Smith (Year 9), Johnny Livingstone (Year 9), Simon Davis (Year 10), Elliot Moran (Year 11), and Johnny Cresswell (Year 11), all qualified for the regional championships after ranking in the top 10 of their races.
The most notable success, amongst many terrific efforts, were the win for Elliot Moran in the intermediate boys section, and Caitlin Smith and Johnny Livingstone who both came second in the junior races.
Johnny Livingstone said: “I enjoyed this round and I am really looking forward to the challenge of the next round.”
The championships are organised by the Devon Schools Athletic Association.
