Terry House, captain of Ottery St. Mary Bowling Club, has had a very successful outdoor season in the Devon county competitions, writes Peter Bebb.

In the 2 Wood Singles semi, he lost to L Hawood of Shaldon but he reached the finals of the Bowls Devon Officers Singles Competition, beating D James of Bideford in the semi. In the hard fought final he was runner-up to J Kelly of Civil Service.

In other games, Ottery were successful in winning against Yate and District, a touring team from Bristol.
