Skipper Lewis Townsend isn’t the biggest fan of the new league reorganisation, which sees regionalisation below level three this season.

Ottery are grouped with teams who were a level below them last season – Feniton, Uplyme, Seaton and Kentisbeare – which feels like a backward step.

Said Townsend: “I understand why regionalisation has been brought in, but it does feel as if we are not playing at the same level as last year.

“Having said that there are some tough fixtures in our division and it looks like an interesting season ahead.”

Ottery finished the right side of the halfway line last season to avoid going into the D Division – and something similar will suit Townsend in 2015.

“We are much the same as last year, apart from losing James Faulkner to Chudleigh as he is living and working over that way now,” said Townsend.

“The new set up is a bit of an unknown for us, but we should be looking for top for or five.”
