Sidmouth went down by seven wickets when they travelled to Bath for a 50-over match.

The Fortfield side batted first and, thanks to a wonderful century from Nick Gingell, closed on a very respectable 276-6 after their 50 overs.

The Gingell innings saw him face just 63 balls and he slammed a dozen four’s and plunderer five sixes.

Matt Hewer (50) and teenager Harvey Sargent (40) both chipped in – the pair added 99 for the third wicket.

Bath got home with 15 balls and seven wickets to spare. Matt Cooke was the most successful Sidmouth bowler, claiming 2-61 in his ten overs and the other wicket taker was Charlie Milles who returned figures of 1-50 from his ten overs.
