Crickets’ Academy

Junior training starts

Ottery Crickets Hockey Club has just achieved the England Hockey Board’s kitemark accreditation - one of only 200 hockey clubs around the country to receive it.

The club has demonstrated that it meets the standards set out by the Governing Body. It means that all young players will receive high quality skills and development coaching in a safe and protected environment.

In the recent World Cup, England’s Women demonstrated that hockey is an exciting, skilful and fast-moving game. Ottery Crickets have a reputation in Devon as an upcoming club and are keen to boost the numbers of young people playing regular hockey in the Ottery and Honiton areas.

The Academy’s first session, with registration, starts this Sunday, September, 19, at 11am on the synthetic turf at the Colin Tooze Sports Centre for an hour.

The Academy is open to young people in school Year 6 and above.

Please check out the club website for full details or contact the club secretary (01392) 881950 for more information or email otterycrickets@live.co.uk.
