Sidmouth Men’s Tennis Team maintained their challenge for promotion on Tuesday evening with a convincing 8-1 victory over Bovey Tracey.
The result sees them move up from fourth to take second spot, just one point ahead of rivals Civil Service B, coincidentally opponents next week in the final fixture of the season at the Fortfield courts.
This match will be crucial as Civil Service B have two matches to play, the other being against Bovey Tracey.
Whatever the outcome, those in the Sidmouth squad can look back with much satisfaction on a season that saw Men’s League tennis once again being played at Fortfield after a gap of many years.
