CRAIG FITZHENRY, right, and Alan Rowe, below, shared starring roles for Sidmouth Town Reserves whose last gasp goal put them in the final of the Carlisle Cup. They beat East Budleigh Reserves 1-0 and go on to meet Feniton Reserves in the final on May 23 at Seaton. Next week they also play Sidbury in the semi-final of the Grandisson Cup at Ottery St Mary. It is a great end to what has been a tough season for the Senior 2 side. Manager Rob Fowler said: "The cup semi was put back a week and it meant we were short of players. Joe Clarke drove back from a wedding in Yorkshire to play - he got back at 1.45pm for a 2.30pm kick-off - and we had to drag in some 'dad's army' players to field a side due to the 'not played six games for the first team' rule. Clarke was a midfield dynamo, Ben Valentine and Craig Badcock also played well, but the match was goalless until five minutes from time when veteran Rowe took to the field. His 30 yard cross looked too deep but dipped under the bar for a great win.
