A brace of goals from Sean Densham and one from Ashley Small saw Sidmouth Town to a 3-2 success in the Devon derby meeting with Crediton United at Manstone Lane
Town boss Josh Stunell had said, with confidence, before the game that the visiting side would find his Vikings team a very different proposition to the one they thumped 6-0 when the sides met in Mid Devon back in September.
The result leaves Town sitting 10th in the South West Peninsula League, Eastern Division table with three more games to play in the league season.
