Wednesday saw the playing of a par competition, played off full handicap on another scorching day at Sidmouth, writes Penny Ashby.
The competition was for a cup given by past president Arthur Skinner.
The excellent weather certainly encouraged some impressive golf.
Margaret Deuce swept away the opposition with a terrific score of plus five.
Sheila Thompson was second on plus four followed by Sheila Tallon with plus three.
