The Devon and Exeter League Management Committee will meet on Monday, March 15 to finalise the way forward for the rest of the season.
All members clubs were contacted earlier this month with ideas on how football might be able to resume when restrictions allow from March 29.
Included within this message was a questionnaire for clubs to state their views and intentions.
One factor in favour of continuing the season is the fact the League restructured their competition for this exact eventuality, meaning smaller divisions and less games to be played.
Beer Albion and Colyton, for example, have both played six games in the Premier East Division, leaving them with 14 fixtures to be completed.
Given the time of year allowing some midweek games and the extension of the season by the FA, it does make the fulfilment of the outstanding games a distinct possibility.
