The Devon County Football Association have two referee courses coming up in July and September.
If you have ever considered taking on the role of a match official, these courses are a perfect introduction to a rewarding, challenging and thrilling role.
The FA Referee Course is designed to equip new referees with the key skills and knowledge they will need to be able to referee grassroots football matches safely and effectively.
On the pitch, you will have the opportunity to turn your knowledge into skills through refereeing game-based scenarios.
You will practise communicating decisions, cautioning and sending off techniques, managing the kick off, free kicks, penalty kicks, corner kicks and throw-ins, positioning in open play and at restarts, and being an assistant referee.
Held at Coach Road in Newton Abbot, the first course starts on July 17, with another session commencing on September 10. Find out more details by contacting richard.mason@devonfa.com
