Sidmouth Town Junior Vikings Football Club decided to start a new tradition this year and invited their U7, U8, U9 and U10 teams to a Christmas Party that was held at Stowford Community Hall.

Thanks to the generosity of local business Emm-Lec Construction, who sponsored the event, all those attending were able to take home a Nike football as a present.

After the undoubted success of this event, the club now plans to hold this event every year.

Sixty-one local youngsters were involved and the club's coaches organised a number of party games, including an indoor softball football tournament and a fancy dress relay race.

The young footballers then enjoyed a post match tea and the afternoon was concluded with a visit from Father Christmas who handed out the presents.

The club committee would like to thank Emm-Lec for providing the presents, the coaches for taking the time to organise the party, the parents for bringing the food and for helping to set up and tidy up afterwards and of course, all the youngsters for their on-going support of all things Sidmouth Town FC.
