Sidmouth Under-14s powered to a 29-5 Blackmore victory over Topsham.
Both teams clearly relished the chance to play on the senior surface and the first score came from Topsham.
A quick team chat under the posts galvanized the forwards who proceeded to take control of the game.
With front foot ball, the backs made quick inroads into the Topsham half and following an excellent catch and drive from the line-out, quick ball led to the equalising try in the corner which also went unconverted.
Now playing with confidence, the home team began to control the game with the line-out working exceptionally well and the resulting driving maul making good ground the backs started to enjoy the amount of ball they were getting. Man of the Match, Harry Emmett, turned over the Topsham attack so many times it seemed there was three of him on the pitch the score continued to tick along with a further five tries duly being scored. The home defence looked solid and all in all it proved to be an exceptional morning for the Under-14s.
The match was followed by an excellent pasta lunch from the Emma and the rest of the mums doing the catering.
