Megan Croft, Emily Maskill and Jan Prettejohn of Sidmouth will be part of the SW Endurance riding team which takes on England, Wales, Scotland and Ireland in the Celtic Challenge.
Jan, who has been competing in Endurance riding for 10 years, has introduced Megan and Emily to the sport. Jan said: I like Endurance because its relatively cheap to compete, it’s friendly and you don’t have to dress up. It is very strictly controlled with the horses being vetted at stages throughout. I have known Emily and Megan since they were babies and they both came and asked if they could start riding the horses. They have both done really well.”
The horses are CSA Demi, White Legacy and Astral Mystique. The event will be held in Builth Wells, Wales, starting on September 30, and all three will be riding in different distance events. 80k, 48k and 42k. They will be part of a 10 strong team.
