A total of 26 ladies took part in the Express and Echo Foursomes competition on June 30 under sunny blue skies at Sidmouth Golf Club.
Coming in first with a great score of 40 points were Diane Boyden and Vanessa Ireson. Second and third places both scored 31 points but Maria Clapp and Gerri Whitrow came second on countback, closely followed by Penny Lyne and Marie Timms.
These four ladies will go forward to represent the club in September at Exeter.

The weather was kind, despite the forecast, for the closely fought Orr Cup competition held on July 7 with 1st, 2nd and 3rd places all scoring 34 points in the Stableford competition.
The winner, on count back, was Sheila Skittrall, second was Yvonne Anning and third was Vanessa Ireson.
There was one ‘2’ recorded by Maria Clapp on the 11th hole.
