Sidford Short Mat Bowling Club held its first 'Fours' Tournament competition in Sidford Social Hall.
Eight teams from across East Devon took part and teams from Newton Poppleford and Woodbury enjoyed good results in the group stages against 'more fancied' opposition. Woodbury emerged from the Group stage unbeaten and went on to contest the final against Colyton. The final was played in a good sporting atmosphere but Colyton proved to be too strong and each of their players made good contributions to their victory.

Sidford Short Mat BC is now enrolling new members, experienced and beginners, to join them on their club afternoons each Tuesday and Wednesday 2-4pm. Whether you are a competitive type or would just fancy an afternoon 'roll- up' game on club days, you will be made equally welcome.
