The Honiton Netball League, summer competition saw week two action last week, writes Graham Ingram

All competing teams have now played at least once and Flamingos, having played twice, find themselves at the top of the table with 10 points from their two outings.

With Charlotte Yorke playing well they proved too strong for Ford & Pentecost Panthers who gained a point from their 24-36 defeat thanks in part to a strong performance from Rachel Burrow. Sidmouth Toucans find themselves in second place thanks to their 26-10 win over Beer in week one, while the Blazers are at the foot of the table.

Tip Top Trees Acorns are in third whilst the team they beat last week, Otter Valley are in 14th. Hi Q this week defeated Signs South West in a game that saw Lizzie Bennett in good form for them whilst Flora Hastie did well for SSW in their 19-31 defeat that left them in 11th place. Howden Hawks are fifth whilst their opponents JD Tyres put up a good fight to earn a point in the 19-10 game and are placed 10th.

Rowan Bradford was the Hawks star whilst Tiffany Munt was the pick of the Tyres. Otters recorded a 28-21 win over Blackdown in a thrilling game that saw them go 6th whilst Blackdown are in 9th place. The two remaining places go to Swaggermamas in 7th and Pixies in 8th.
