Baldwin nets as Sidmouth Raiders Under-10s defeat Honiton Demons.

Sidmouth Raiders Under-10s experienced mixed fortunes in their latest Exeter and District Youth League matches.

First up against Honiton Devils it was great determination and persistence from Owen Baldwin that saw Raiders break the deadlock.

Freddie ‘match attacks’ Dorman doubled the lead, getting on the end of a flowing Raiders move applying a clinical finish from what had looked a tight angle.

Early in the second half Josh O Connor made an immediate impact getting on the end of move started from a corner and stroking the ball home to complete the scoring.

In the second game Raiders experienced how cruel a game football can be after they served up a superb all-round performance only to be beaten by the only goal of the contest scored in the dying seconds!

Yan Mercan led from the back and was outstanding.

With several battling performances in the howling wind and rain Raiders battled bravely and each an everyone of the players on duty can be very proud of their efforts.
