Sidmouth Raiders 2, West Hill Wasps 0

Sidmouth Raiders Under-10s were deserved clean sheet victors in this derby encounter against a very competitive and physically strong opposition side.

Josh O’Connor helped to break the deadlock, with a piece of shear magic! The youngster flicked the ball over his head and turned leaving Zac Lascelles to follow-up with a rocket of a shot flew that flew into the net.

That lifted the Raiders who went on to play some delightful football.

Frank Long latched onto the ball and thumped a long-range shot that smashed against the bar and came down on the line.

There was to be no ‘1966-style’ controversy, as Josh O’Connor pounced to tuck the ball away to seal victory.
