Sidmouth Raiders Under-9s clip the wings of Feniton Falcons

Sidmouth Raiders Under-9s were big winners in an East Devon derby, writes Anna Jones (aged 10).

Feniton began brightly winning an early corner that was cleared. At the other end Levi went close before Jacob saw a shot well saved by the Feniton goalkeeper.

Excellent team work from Soren, Owen and Levi led to the first Raiders goal. Levi went close to netting a second, but the glovesman caught the ball. The lead was doubled when Owen netted a stunning goal. Feniton responded well and it needed good defending from Zach and Will to keep them out. Goals from Jacob and Owen made it 4-0 at half-time.

After the break Jenson provided the assist for Jacob to make it five before a long-range blast from Soren, who shot from just inside his own half, made it six! Two late goals from Levi completed the scoring.
