Mike Stamp and Alex Raistrick are both back for Sidmouth Town’s South West Peninsula League Eastern Division meeting with table-topping Exwick Villa at Manstone Lane tomorrow (3pm), writes Steve Birley.

Town boss Paddy Thomas could not be more delighted. He says: “Both Mike and Alex bring much to our cause. Having played Exwick Villa last weekend (read a match report inside on page 63), adding these two to the group that did so well for the most part seven days ago gives me lots of confidence.”

The Vikings chief continued: “We were a whisker from being three up last week and the players have now shown the standard they are collectively capable of. The hard part is for them now to show they can deliver that sort of standard on a consistent basis – starting with tomorrow!”

However, there was added caution when Thomas said: “We were guilty of switching off at key time last week and it we repeat that tomorrow we will suffer more disappointment.”
