Sidmouth Under-15s suffer availability woe and exit Wellman Cup

A depleted Sidmouth Under-15s went out of the semi-final of the Wellman Cup.

It was all very disappointing for the team who had asked for the match date to be changed owing to players missing for Easter holidays and other things, but the East Devon Youth League insisted the match went ahead.

That left the team playing the entire match with just ten players which, against a good team with a number of substitutes, and in warm conditions, led to only one conclusion!

Despite being so hamstrung, the team played well and the players enjoyed being used in different positions.

Similar availability issues led to the team forfeiting a midweek league game against Honiton.
