Sidmouth Under-8 Raiders and Warriors were in action against teams from Tiverton, writes Keith Pulman.

The Raiders struggled initially against a strong Moors Youth side, but improved after the break with Michal Bielawski again playing well and scoring a very good goal. Their next game saw them play Twyford Spartans.

This was another tough encounter in which Liam Dalton, playing outfield rather than in his usual goalkeeper position, put in a Man of the Match performance defending very strongly.

The Warriors played Twyford Spartans first, and, in a close game, played excellently with the standout player being Ben Elsom who with a solid and determined performance was always a threat, scoring twice.

Moors Youth were up next for the Warriors and in another close game were grateful to Charley Turkey who was excellent between the sticks, pulling off some fine saves allowing the rest of the team the opportunity to finish on top.
