Sidmouth Warriors Under-10s were in fine form as they powered to a handsome success in this East Devon derby.

Axminster had failed to register a goal this season whilst the Warriors have the meanest defensive record in the league!

So, naturally, it was Axminster who took the lead after just two minutes! This shook the Warriors into life, but it took a while for their fine approach play to pay dividends, Stanley Richardson and Samuel Rice eventually putting the visitors ahead 2-1 at half-time.

The second half was one-way traffic with constant Sidmouth pressure yielding goals for Jed Ionov-Flint, Tim Goody, Thomas Rowan, Joe Ashby (2) and a marvellous top-corner ‘screamer’ from young Jamie Salter.
