The Sidmouth Warriors Under-9s slipped smoothly back into their early season free-scoring mode as they bagged two big wins in Exeter, writes Chris Roberts.
First up against Central City it was Ben Fisher who fired them into an early lead and a Freddie Eul-Barker free-kick made it 2-0 by the break. In the second half Eul-Barker scored again as did Adam Jabri with the other two coming from Gabriel Roberts, his second a stunning 20-yard volley after the home keepers kick out landed at his feet! The Exeter side did force a couple of chances, but were foiled by Lucy Spiller and Freddie Roberts in goal.
Game two saw more confident Warriors play. The chief orchestrator in this contest was Adam Jabri from central midfield. Goals from Charlie Roberts, Ben Fisher and Oliver Loosemore gave Warriors a 3-0 half-time lead. After the break, with Lucy Spiller giving no quarter at the back, there was no way back for the hosts and, at the other end of the pitch further goals were scored by Ewan Badcock, Adam Jabri, Freddie Eul-Barker and Oliver Loosemore.
