Sidmouth Town veterans were 3-1 winners when they met Beer Albion in a Devon Veterans League match.

Goals from Steve Loosemore, skipper Simon Hudson and player-manager Andy Case saw Town to victory in what was their first outing of the new season.

Next up for the Town veterans is a Manstone Lane meeting with Plymouth side Millbridge in the Devon Vets Cup, with the tie being played on Sunday, October 28.

This season the Town vets squad is made up of: Andy Case (manager), Simon Hudson (captain), Brendon Willey, Jay Thorn, Neil Wood, Andy O’Connor, Craig Badcock, JP Staniforth, Steve Loosemore, Chris Warfield, Gary Carpenter, Charlie Nicholle, Nick Gingell and Mark Jenkins.
