SIDMOUTH Town boss Paul Ashford had harsh words for his side after they lost by just one goal to top of the league side Exmouth Amateurs. "I was a bit hard on the lads but, if we didn't give away a two goal lead, we would be a match for any side in the Premier League. I keep telling them that, but we seem unable to keep a clean sheet. And that's not just aimed at the defence, but the whole side." Sidmouth were 3-1 down by half time but put in a fantastic display after the break. Goals were scored by Chris Duchenski (two penalties) and Sean Lapping, with a header. Mike Stamp had a great game in a new position of centre half. This weekend the 1st XI play University at home. "That could suit us as they are a fit side who want to play football. But it is up to the players now, I can't babysit them any longer. They have to want do it for themselves.
