The annual Sidmouth Golf Club versus Gentlemen’s Club competition culminated last week with the snooker leg, writes Hugh Dorliac.
Played over eight frames in pairs, the result was looking bright for the golf club, led by Nigel Sharp, at the dinner break.
A three to one lead, however, was not enough as the Gentlemen fought back and after four very close games, with two going to spotted blacks, the result was a draw.
As holders, the Gentlemen retained the trophy for another year.
