Gertie Skinner Cup win for Maria Clapp

Sidmouth ladies played for the Gertie Skinner Cup

Medal winners during the year qualify for playing in this competition.

The Gertie Skinner Cup was given by Mrs Arthur Skinner in 1972.

Her husband, Mr Arthur Skinner, was president at Sidmouth Golf Club from 1958 to 1979.

This year the winner was Maria Clapp with a net 73 and she lays claim to the Gertie Skinner Cup for the next 12 months.

The runner-up was Sue Billinghurst with a net 75.

A medal was run in conjunction with this competition. Sue Langdon won this with a net 71.

Second place went to Maria Clapp with Sue Billinghurst third.
