The Sidmouth class of Target TAGB Tae Kwon-Do is going from strength to strength.

After another 100 per cent pass rate at the August colour belt grading, student George Irish, 15, who had received a top level A-pass at the grading, built on it by winning gold in boys’ yellow belt sparring at the TAGB Southern Championships, held in Paignton.

Further medals were also won in various divisions by Billie O’Brien (two silvers), her sister Jaimie O’Brien (a silver and a bronze) and Robyn Clifford (silver). Tom McAndrew, who lives in Sidmouth but trains in Colyton, achieved bronze at blue belt level. George is now setting his sights even higher, competing in the cadet (15-17 years) category at the TAGB British Championships in Coventry later this year.
