It was a busy week for the lady golfers at Sidmouth.
Following our regular competition on the Wednesday, we had a Ping qualifier, which was won by Amy Moore and Yvonne Anning with a fantastic 43 points.
Maria Clapp and Marian Andrews came second with 35 points, closely followed by Alison Godwin and Liz Chance on 34. Well done ladies and good luck with any ongoing matches.
The Spring Meeting was held on Saturday, May 29, delayed due to Covid, but we were rewarded with the most fabulous weather.
Lady Captain Mo Kendall gifted all the ladies with a goodie bag of golf accessories and a great day was enjoyed by all with refreshments on the course provided halfway round, followed by a presentation in the club house.
The winning team of Penny Lyne, Hilary Tutcher and Ros Eaton won with 83 points and were presented with fabulous hampers of food goodies.
Hampers were also presented to the teams in second place: Sas Huntwood, Penny Anderson and Liz Chance with 81 points and third place Sheila Skittrall, Diane Boyden and Brenda Somerfield with 78 points.
Lynette Lloyd won 'nearest the pin' and Maria Clapp ' nearest the bottle of gin'
It was a lovely day and Mo did a fabulous job with the organisation and prizes - it's beginning to feel that life may hopefully be returning to normal at last!
