Sidmouth and Ottery Hockey Club (SOHC) men’s second team were 6-0 winners of their South East One game at East Devon C.

After a slow start to the contest SOHC took charge and, with Treeve Harris and Eddie Rudolph amongst the goals, they raced into a 4-0 half-time lead.

In the second half East Devon tried to hit back, but they were unable to get any joy against a disciplined and solid SOHC back line in which Nick Goode was the stand-out individual performer.

At the other end of the pitch, SOHC added two more goals to seal an emphatic success.

The win, a third in seven league starts, sees SOHC into sixth spot. Tomorrow (Saturday) they entertain a Yeovil and Sherborne A side that sits one place below them in the table. It’s a noon kick-off for the match being played at Sidmouth.
